Simple Student Note
The Tanakh contains the same books as the Christian Old Testament, but they are arranged in a different order and sometimes grouped differently. For example, 1 and 2 Samuel are counted together as Samuel, and the Twelve Minor Prophets are counted together as one book called Trei Asar.
NOTE: The word Tanakh itself is not found in the King James Bible. However, the books of the Tanakh are referenced throughout the New Testament as the Scriptures, the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms.
